Who TF is Mike Lee?
Hailing from Albany, Oregon and now based in Chicago, Mike Lee is an alternative rap artist, engineer, and event promoter. He got his footing in music in 2018, where he released his first single “Hope Ur Happy” on SoundCloud on a whim one night after a devastating breakup. It quickly gained momentum throughout the community and cemented him towards a path of lifelong success in the entertainment world.
Mike Lee is an accomplished artist both with his solo project and Elysium Nights. Before joining his musical soulmate Maddie Hanna on his ventures, he performed in various states across the west coast, including Oregon, California, and Washington. He also opened for notable names in the industry, including the Ying Yang Twins and the Luniz during his primary run as a solo artist. With a degree in Audio Engineering from the Recording Connection Academy at Portland State University, Mike is also an experienced audio engineer, and has mixed music for countless artists, including his own duo Elysium Nights.
Taking influence from artists like Eminem and XXXTentacion, Mike seamlessly blends hip hop with alternative indie, providing a unique sound that is authentic and memorable in his solo work. He also carries much of the same elements over to his duo project, often flowing his signature fast cadences over groovy beats. Having brought his expertise of sound design and promotion to Elysium Nights, Mike has proven he is a force to be reckoned with.
